While the United Nations charter maintains that people have a right to self-determination , the process of calling upon that doctrine as a right is not a 100% bet to actualize that ambition.   The United Nations (UN) is an intergovernmental organization tasked to promote international co-operation and to create and maintain international order.   The United Nations does not rule or govern the world as many Nigerians imagine. Its role is primarily to promote peace and where necessary act as mediator to resolve conflicts. T
