 Okorocha is Right. Dear Nigerians, Imo governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha has done nothing new to appoint a commissioner for happiness. I have been reading the recent developments in Imo state where Owelle Rochas Okorocha appointed his younger sister as " commissioner for happiness and couples fulfillment. " I immediately burst out laughing. Imo state must be going through the worst time to necessitate this thinking after all, people create solutions to problems or in anticipation of them. But soon afterwards, I recollected that I had read about Sheikh Maktoum's appointment of a similar minister in Dubai. This prompted me to do a quick study on the concept of ministries of happiness. Bhutan created a concept known as Gross National Happiness (GNH) in 1979 as they rejected Gross Domestic Progress (GDP) as the only way to measure progress.
